FRIDAY: Rally with The Atlantic Union at The Atlantic Festival
The Atlantic magazine will hold its largest annual event this Friday in DC — but the company won't agree to core protections with its workers in The Atlantic Union, part of the Washington-Baltimore News Guild.
Members of union will rally at 12:30 PM this Friday at The Wharf, where the Festival is scheduled to take place, and are calling on labor allies to join the action. Learn more »

The DC Department of Transportation welcomed a new director this week — and one of her first official acts should include negotiating a full transition of DC Circulator service and workers to WMATA.

Workers at Sweetspot and The Apothecarium win their union elections
On Monday workers at The Apothecarium cannabis dispensary in Burtonsville, MD and Sweetspot cannabis dispensary in Olney, MD announced they have voted to unionize with UFCW Local 400. “I’m incredibly honored to be working alongside such an awesome team that believes in representation for themselves and fellow workers,” said Matt Saundry, who works at The Apothecarium.
