The Committee on Political Education (COPE) educates and empowers members of our Affiliate unions to be involved in the politics and policy issues that affect our lives.
COPE empowers union members by:
Providing political education
Raising political funds
Endorsing candidates that support our issues
Supporting and contributing to endorsed candidates
Implementing get-out-the-vote programs
Educating public officials on our issues
Rallying support among officials for our issues

Our COPE work is organized into three regions: Washington DC; Prince George’s and Montgomery counties; and Tri-Counties (Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s counties).
